We offer hybrid working, with an expectation that you'll be present at one of our Holland & Barrett offices, a combination of Nuneaton and Burton - for a minimum of 2 days per week.
About The Role
Great packaging needs to do more than look good, it needs to work brilliantly in production.
As our Packaging Manager – Global Production Centre, you'll lead the technical delivery of packaging across our production facilities, helping make sure new and existing packaging is ready to perform safely, efficiently and consistently.
Working across food and non-food products, you'll bring together Packaging, Operations, Engineering, Quality and suppliers to turn packaging designs into reliable production solutions.
What you'll be doing
- Lead the technical delivery and implementation of new and changed packaging within our production facilities.
- Lead packaging trials, line validation and first production runs.
- Partner with Operations, Engineering, Quality and Planning to make sure packaging supports safe, efficient and repeatable production.
- Investigate and resolve packaging-related production issues using structured root-cause analysis.
- Use production insight to improve packaging quality, line efficiency, reliability and waste.
- Work with suppliers and internal teams to resolve material performance issues and implement improvements.
- Identify opportunities to improve manufacturability, cost, sustainability and operational performance.
- Build packaging capability and consistent technical ways of working across our production facilities.

What you'll bring
- Packaging development, engineering or technical experience gained within FMCG, manufacturing or consumer goods.
- Technical knowledge of packaging materials, filling and packing processes and manufacturing technologies.
- Experience of packaging trials, line validation, first production runs and technical issue resolution.
- Practical problem-solving and root-cause analysis skills.
- Experience working collaboratively with Operations, Engineering, Quality and packaging suppliers.
- An understanding of packaging specifications, change control, compliance requirements and technical standards.
- The ability to balance quality, efficiency, cost, sustainability and operational performance.
