The Global Packaging Hub sits at the heart of Aldi’s ambition to lead the way in smarter, cost-effective, and compliant packaging. This team plays a critical role in shaping and delivering Aldi’s packaging strategy across all Aldi South markets, with a particular focus on GB/IE - balancing commercial performance, environmental responsibility, and regulatory compliance.

As a Packaging Specialist

You will be part of a dynamic team driving real change. You’ll play a key role in bringing packaging strategies to life - implementing processes and leading projects that optimise product packaging. From reducing costs to ensuring full compliance, your work will directly influence product quality, efficiency, and customer perception across the business.

If you’re a hardworking individual that’s ready to kick-start your career with an award-winning employer, apply to join #TeamAldi today!

Your New Role

  • Lead and deliver packaging optimisation projects across multiple stakeholders, including suppliers, packaging manufacturers, and Aldi Buying teams.
  • Collaborate closely with stakeholders to ensure successful project outcomes aligned with business objectives.
  • Analyse and interpret data to generate clear, actionable recommendations for stakeholders.
  • Work autonomously with confidence, taking ownership of projects and driving continuous personal and professional development.
  • Partner with the Global Packaging Hub (Compliance, Systems and Processes team) to ensure packaging initiatives align with regulatory requirements, system capabilities, and overall commercial strategy.
  • Proactively engage with internal departments, including National Buying, identifying opportunities and bringing forward new ideas without direct management guidance.
  • Manage and prioritise multiple competing workstreams, confidently proposing solutions that deliver the best overall outcome for Aldi.
  • Communicate recommendations and decisions clearly, concisely, and with impact, considering the wider business context beyond own function.
  • Ensure packaging optimisation initiatives are integrated effectively within the Aldi Buying process at the appropriate stages.
  • Utilise and apply knowledge of APP, and CTS processes to support project delivery and integration.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
