Packaging Supervisor

Beavertown Brewery, Enfield

Full-Time, On-Site

Reporting to: Packaging Manager

We're looking for a Packaging Supervisor who can lead people, drive performance, and keep the beer flowing 🍺

At Beavertown, great beer doesn't stop at brewing. Our Packaging team plays a critical role in making sure every can and keg leaves the brewery looking great, tasting great, and arriving with our customers exactly as intended.

We're looking for a Packaging Supervisor to lead our production teams, driving performance across safety, quality, efficiency and people development. You'll be a hands-on leader, supporting the day-to-day operation of our automated packaging lines while creating a culture of continuous improvement.

What you'll be doing

As Packaging Supervisor, you'll be at the heart of our operation, ensuring our packaging lines deliver against production plans, quality standards and performance targets.

Leading People & Performance

  • Lead, coach and develop Packaging Operators to build a high-performing team
  • Manage training, upskilling, rotas, attendance and performance
  • Create a positive, engaged and accountable team culture
  • Support team members through challenges while providing clear direction and leadership

Running The Shift

  • Take ownership of shift operations across our automated packaging lines
  • Ensure products are packaged safely, efficiently and to Beavertown quality standards
  • Monitor and deliver against production plans and departmental KPIs
  • Support line set-up, changeovers and production activities when required
  • Coordinate with other departments to ensure smooth operational performance

Continuous Improvement

  • Lead troubleshooting activities and problem-solving on the production floor
  • Conduct root cause analysis to resolve issues and prevent recurrence
  • Drive improvements across safety, quality, efficiency and cost
  • Support new product launches and packaging improvement projects
  • Champion Lean manufacturing, GMP and best-practice ways of working

Quality & Compliance

  • Ensure accurate record keeping and production documentation
  • Create and maintain standard operating documents and templates
  • Support compliance with food safety, quality and accreditation standards, including ISO 9001 and FSSC 22000
  • Maintain strong health and safety standards within the department

About You

What you’ll bring

  • Previous experience within a food manufacturing environment (brewery experience is a bonus)
  • Demonstrated leadership or team management experience
  • Experience troubleshooting technical equipment and production issues
  • Understanding of technical processes and systems
  • Strong Microsoft Office skills, particularly Excel
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills
  • Strong organisational and record-keeping abilities
  • Ability to prioritise and adapt in a fast-paced production environment
  • Physically able to carry out manual handling activities
  • Willingness to work shift patterns

  • Experience within brewing or beverage manufacturing
  • Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, 5S and GMP principles
  • Experience working within highly automated production environments
  • Understanding of food safety and quality standards including FSSC 22000 and ISO 9001
