Based in Paddock Wood and reporting to the Packaging Manager, we are looking for a hands-on Packaging Team Leader to support the daily packaging operation for FreshPLUS and Thanet Earth Paddock Wood.
You will receive, check, and record incoming packaging in the ERP system, maintain stock sheets and month-end counts, and keep stock at the right levels to support the pack house and overseas packers.
Using appropriate machinery, you will accurately pick packaging against requisitions, re-check loads and coordinate safe transport to the main site. You will also organise the store by product type and supervise stock rotation and incoming deliveries.

You will supervise, motivate and support packaging staff so work objectives are achieved, while maintaining safe working practices and making efficient use of space and resources.
You will uphold BRC packaging and label controls, maintain accurate receipt and traceability records, quarantine obsolete stock, place repeat supplier orders and report health and safety concerns.
Our Ideal Packaging Team Leader Will Have
- Experience in packaging, supply chain or a related operational role within food, FMCG or manufacturing.
- Supervisory experience with the confidence to motivate staff and organise daily workloads.
- Strong stock-control, goods-receipt, counting and ERP/SAP skills.
- Knowledge of food safety, hygiene, traceability, packaging control and BRC standards.
- Excellent organisation, accuracy and communication in a time-critical environment.
- A hands-on, accountable and safety-focused approach.

The Hours You Would Work
- 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday, 7.30 am – 4 pm, with weekend working on a rota basis
