Role Description

Are you passionate about innovative packaging solutions and sustainability? We're looking for a talented Packaging Technologist to play a key role in developing, testing, and implementing packaging that protects our products, delights our customers, and supports our environmental commitments.

This is an exciting opportunity for a detail-oriented professional who enjoys working cross-functionally with procurement, operations, quality, suppliers, and commercial teams to deliver packaging excellence.


Main Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and improve packaging solutions across our product portfolio.
  • Manage packaging projects from concept through to launch.
  • Conduct packaging trials, testing, and validation activities.
  • Ensure packaging complies with relevant legislation, customer requirements, and industry standards.
  • Collaborate with suppliers to identify new materials and innovative packaging opportunities.
  • Support sustainability initiatives, including material reduction and recyclability improvements.
  • Analyse packaging performance, costs, and opportunities for continuous improvement.
  • Create and maintain packaging specifications and technical documentation.

Candidate Description

  • Experience in a Packaging Technologist, Packaging Development, or similar technical role.
  • Knowledge of packaging materials including corrugate, plastics, films, cartons, and sustainable alternatives.
  • Understanding of packaging testing methodologies and regulatory requirements.
  • Strong project management and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.
  • Experience within FMCG, personal care, food manufacturing, consumer goods, or a related industry is advantageous.
  • Degree or qualification in Packaging Technology, Food Science, Engineering, or a related discipline preferred.
