Packing & Dispatch Administrator – 12-month FTC

Location: Hartlepool

Salary: Up to £26,750

Contract: 12-month fixed-term contract

Packing & Dispatch Administrator to support our busy Hartlepool operation.

Role Overview

Reporting to the Packing & Dispatch Planning & Process Excellence Manager, you will provide essential administrative and planning support to the Packing & Dispatch team. You will allocate stock to works orders, release orders to the shop floor and produce the documentation and labels needed to complete packing activities safely and efficiently. This role involves working closely with colleagues across Packing & Dispatch, Warehouse, Production, Procurement, Planning, Shipping, Customer Service and IT.

Key Responsibilities

  • Allocate stock to Packing & Dispatch work orders.
  • Release work orders to the shop floor.
  • Print and issue batch documentation and product labels.
  • Ensure the team has the correct information to complete planned packing activities.
  • Maintain the fixed production and packing plan accurately.
  • Review completed pack-downs and confirm order-line information.
  • Record unplanned downtime and update relevant trackers.
  • Help determine daily priorities for the Packing & Dispatch team.
  • Respond proactively to short-term stock or supply issues.
  • Coordinate with other departments to support customer requirements.
  • Complete other reasonable administrative tasks required by the business.

Qualifications And Experience

We are looking for someone who is organised, accurate and comfortable working in a fast-paced Manufacturing Or Logistics Environment. You Will Ideally Have:

  • Previous experience in administration, production planning, packing, dispatch or a similar operational role.
  • Experience allocating stock or materials against work orders.
  • Knowledge of Oracle 11 or Oracle 12.
  • An understanding of packing materials into different container sizes.
  • Experience planning or coordinating work for an operational team.
  • Good IT skills, including Excel, Word and Outlook.
  • Strong communication and coordination skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail.
  • The ability to manage changing priorities and respond flexibly.
  • A proactive approach to resolving short-term supply or operational issues.
  • IATA, IMDG, ADR training or APICS certification would be advantageous but is not essential.
