PACKING HALL SUPERVISOR
INW Bee Health | Bridlington, East Yorkshire £32,500 per annum + Bonus Scheme
Full-Time | Permanent
Monday to Friday | 2:00pm to 10:00pm

INW Bee Health is one of the UK's leading manufacturers of vitamins, minerals and nutritional supplements. We are looking for an enthusiastic, motivated and experienced Packing Hall Supervisor to join our operations team and help drive performance, quality and employee engagement across our busy Packing Hall.
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced supervisor or team leader looking to further develop their leadership career within a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
ABOUT THE ROLE
As Packing Hall Supervisor, you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operation of the Packing Hall, ensuring products are packed safely, efficiently and to the highest quality standards.
You will lead by example, coaching and developing employees while ensuring production targets, quality requirements and operational objectives are consistently achieved.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
OPERATIONAL MANAGEMENT
- Lead and motivate the Packing Hall team to achieve production targets.
- Conduct daily team briefings, allocate work and communicate priorities.
- Ensure products are packed correctly, on time and right first time.
- Monitor packing lines and address operational issues as they arise.
- Manage staffing levels and resources across multiple production lines.
- Coordinate production start-ups, changeovers and shutdown activities.
- Ensure compliance with GMP, BRC, Food Safety and Health & Safety standards.
- Complete and review production documentation accurately and on time.
- Investigate customer complaints and implement corrective actions.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance productivity and quality.

LEADERSHIP & PEOPLE MANAGEMENT
- Build a positive, engaged and high-performing team culture.
- Support absence management, return-to-work interviews and attendance improvement initiatives.
- Conduct probation reviews, performance appraisals and development discussions.
- Coach and support employees to improve performance and skills.
- Manage holiday requests and day-to-day employee relations matters.
- Act as a role model for INW Bee Health's values and behaviours.
- Support departmental and business-wide objectives through effective leadership.
TRAINING & DEVELOPMENT
- Take ownership of onboarding and training for new starters.
- Ensure employees are trained and competent to operate assigned equipment.
- Manage and maintain training records and skills matrices through UKG Learning.
- Work closely with Technical Trainers to support employee development.
- Identify skills gaps and support succession planning within the department.
- Deliver practical on-the-job training and coaching where required.
PLANNING & CONTINUOUS IMPROVEMENT
- Support production planning activities to ensure achievable schedules.
- Review daily staffing levels and resource requirements.
- Identify opportunities to improve processes, quality and operational performance.
- Produce clear and detailed shift handovers.
- Work collaboratively with Production, Planning, Quality and Technical teams to deliver operational excellence.
WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR
The successful candidate will have:
ESSENTIAL
- Previous supervisory or team leadership experience within a manufacturing, production or packing environment.
- Strong people management and communication skills.
- Excellent organisational and planning abilities.
- Experience managing performance, attendance and employee development.
- Good attention to detail and commitment to quality standards.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced operational environment.
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.

DESIRABLE
- Experience within food manufacturing, pharmaceuticals, supplements or FMCG.
- Knowledge of GMP, BRC and Food Safety standards.
- Experience using training management systems and skills matrices.
- Continuous improvement experience.
