PACKING OPERATOR
AliveDx are recruiting for Packing Operators to join our Manufacturing team based near Edinburgh (Milton Bridge, EH26 0BF). The purpose of these roles is to carry out packing activities in compliance with agreed specifications, GMP and regulatory requirements, ensuring finished products are packed accurately, efficiently and to schedule. These roles are temporary (12 months), working full-time at 37.5 hours per week Monday-Friday.
No science background or degree is required, just a positive can-do attitude and a willingness to learn.
YOUR MISSION
Your main responsibilities will include:
- Conduct all duties in compliance with Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP), Good Documentation Practice (GDP) and relevant regulatory requirements.
- Prepare and pack finished product in accordance with approved procedures, specifications and schedules.
- Complete all required documentation and TROPOS transactions accurately, legibly and in a timely manner.
- Ensure correct labels, components and packaging materials are used for each product and batch.
- Perform in-process checks to ensure packed product meets specification and quality requirements.
- Maintain excellent standards of cleanliness and housekeeping within the packing area.
- Ensure packing equipment and workstations are maintained and operated in accordance with SOPs.
- Ensure sufficient consumables and packaging materials are available to meet the production schedule and escalate shortages as required.
- Adhere to Health & Safety, PPE, COSHH and risk assessment requirements at all times.
- Participate in training and competency assessments in line with the departmental training plan.
- Actively contribute to continuous improvement activities.
- Perform any other reasonable duties as requested by the Company.

YOUR COMPETENCIES
- Standard Grade/ National 4/5 or equivalent Mathematics and English
- Experience within a GMP Laboratory environment is desirable but not a requirement.
- Proficient using Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook, Teams and other IT systems.
- Effective written and verbal communication with ability to actively participate in meetings.
- Strong organizational skills, with excellent attention to detail and ability to follow procedure.
- A customer focused mindset with ability to take accountability, demonstrate integrity and drive results.
- Ability to participate in overtime activities as required.
