We are currently looking for Pork Packing Supervisor PM shift to support our Packing team.
Role:
Packing Supervisor (PM shift)
Hours:
Monday to Friday, 14:15 - 23:00
The role of Packing Supervisor forms part of the Packing Department Management Team of shared responsibility for production and technical / specification performance of the Packing team.

Key Responsibilities
- Overseeing the daily running of the BPP department (either day or afternoon shift)
- Report and resolve machine issues quickly, advising the Engineering Department of work requirements
- Communicate and work closely with the Butchery supervisor to resolve issues quickly
- Assist with any audits that are carried out in the department - e.g. customer visits.
- Carry out lower-level disciplinary hearings and investigations as required in conjunction with the HR department
- Ensure that any staff performance issues are dealt with using the Company policy.
- Ensure all staff adhere to Company health and safety policies and notices - e.g. wearing of PPE, machines are correctly operated
- Communicate with planning daily and identify any potential shortages early
- The job holder has a responsibility to create a culture of awareness of, and commitment to the highest standards of quality & food safety and as such they must lead by example

Skills, Knowledge, Qualifications
- Food Safety Level 2
- Experience of working within a food manufacturer and in a fast-past environment
- Knowledge of all relevant H&S procedures and requirements
- Experience in a team leadership
- Commercial aware with some understanding of unit costs / yields
