Location: The Admiral Park, Airport Service Road, Portsmouth PO3 5RQ

Pay: Up to £39,000 per annum dependent on experience plus potential additional earnings

Job Description

Be part of something from day one.

We're recruiting for a brand-new padel club opening in Portsmouth, and we're looking for a passionate Head Coach to lead and shape our coaching programme from the ground up.

This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced coach who wants more than just court time. You'll be responsible for developing and delivering a high-quality coaching programme, building a thriving player community, supporting the growth of other coaches, and helping establish Padel Quarter as the go-to destination for padel in the region. As a start-up business, you'll have genuine influence over how coaching is delivered and how the club grows.

Whether you're delivering group sessions, organising leagues and tournaments, or developing new programmes to increase participation, you'll be at the heart of creating an outstanding member experience.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Leading and delivering a high-quality coaching programme for adults, juniors, beginners and advanced players
  • Delivering individual and group coaching sessions to a consistently high standard
  • Developing structured player pathways that encourage participation, progression and retention
  • Supporting and mentoring employed and self-employed coaches
  • Managing coaching schedules and resources to ensure effective programme delivery
  • Organising coaching clinics, camps, tournaments, leagues and social events
  • Building strong relationships with members, parents, guests and visitors
  • Promoting memberships, coaching programmes and club events
  • Driving participation, coaching revenue and court utilisation
  • Supporting community engagement initiatives and growing the sport locally
  • Maintaining high standards of safeguarding, health and safety, and coaching compliance
  • Working closely with the Club Manager to support the overall success of the venue

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
