Location: Fareham, Hampshire
Rate: Equivalent to £22–£28 per hour, depending on experience – fixed fee paid per agreed task/assignment

Paediatric Clinical Lead Required – Urgent New Care Package

We are looking for an experienced Paediatric Clinical Lead Nurse (RNC) to support the set-up and mobilisation of a new complex-care package in Fareham, Hampshire.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced paediatric nurse with a strong background in community/homecare complex care and clinical leadership who is confident setting up and supporting safe care packages within a child's home.

The successful nurse will work closely with the wider clinical and operational team to ensure the package is safely mobilised and that the care team has the appropriate knowledge, training and competencies to meet the child's individual clinical needs.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the clinical set-up and mobilisation of a new paediatric complex-care package
  • Review clinical needs, care plans and risk assessments
  • Ensure appropriate clinical documentation is in place before and during mobilisation
  • Support the development and implementation of safe, person-centred care plans
  • Provide clinical guidance and leadership to the care team
  • Deliver and/or support clinical training and competency assessments
  • Complete competency sign-offs where appropriate
  • Ensure carers are clinically competent and confident before working independently
  • Identify and escalate clinical risks or concerns
  • Work collaboratively with the child, family, healthcare professionals and multidisciplinary teams
  • Support ongoing clinical reviews and quality assurance as required
  • Maintain accurate and contemporaneous clinical documentation

About You

To be considered, you will need:

  • Registered Children's Nurse (RNC/RN Child) with current NMC registration
  • Strong paediatric nursing experience
  • Previous community/homecare complex-care experience
  • Previous experience supporting or leading the set-up and mobilisation of complex-care packages

Payment

The assignment is paid on a fixed-fee-per-task basis, with fees calculated according to the agreed work required and broadly equivalent to £22–£28 per hour, depending on experience and the nature of the assignment.
