Paediatric Clinical Research Nurse – Leeds (ADHOC WORK)
Location: Leeds (Candidates within approx. 1.5 hours’ drive preferred)
Start Date: Late August / ASAP
Role Overview
We are seeking an experienced Paediatric Clinical Research Nurse (RSCN/RN Child) to support a home‑based clinical research programme for a paediatric participant. The role involves delivering scheduled weekly visits in the Leeds area and completing all protocol‑driven clinical procedures in the participant’s home.
This is an ad‑hoc position and can be worked alongside a current permanent role, provided you have availability for the scheduled visits.

Key Responsibilities
- Administer IV infusions in the home setting
- Perform full paediatric clinical assessments and observations
- Carry out venepuncture and port access as required by protocol
- Monitor participant safety throughout each visit
- Ensure accurate documentation and compliance with study procedures
Essential Requirements
- Current NMC registration (Paediatric PIN required)
- Recent experience with paediatric IV infusion, venepuncture, and port access
- Strong paediatric assessment skills
- Up‑to‑date BLS and PILS certification (in‑person preferred)
- Enhanced DBS registered on the DBS Update Service
- Ability to commit to weekly home visits from late August
- Comfortable working autonomously in a home‑visit environment
