An exciting opportunity has arisen to work as a physiotherapist in an established integrated service within the ISCAN team (Integrated Service for Children with Additional Needs). We are a multi-agency team, consisting of physiotherapists, occupational therapists, speech therapists, dieticians and nursing.

Our physiotherapy service delivers specialist care to children and young people 0-19 years with developmental, musculoskeletal and complex needs.

A dynamic, enthusiastic and experienced Physiotherapist is required to join our friendly, motivated and highly skilled team. The applicant should be an excellent communicator and have relevant experience of working with children and young people. You will be able to demonstrate a sound knowledge of childhood conditions particularly Cerebral Palsy, other neurodevelopmental disorders and musculoskeletal conditions. You will have support from experienced colleagues within the multi-disciplinary team and have regular supervision from your line manager and clinical lead in conjunction with your appraisal. You will be responsible for a community caseload and work in a variety of settings.

  • Work as part of the Integrated Service for Children with Additional Needs (ISCAN) to provide Physiotherapy assessment, diagnosis and treatment for children with complex and long term conditions in a variety of settings including special schools, the child’s home and clinics.

  • Work with other professionals within ISCAN and the wider children’s workforce, to set joint goals with the child and family and devise therapeutic programmes. To teach the devised programme to parents, carers and educational staff to ensure therapy is fully integrated into the child’s management plan.

  • To contribute to service development projects including patient care pathways with the support of service team leaders.

  • Provide leadership and supervision for other team members.
