Working within the Specialist Nurse Led Children’s Continence Service
Coordinating medical, psychology, nursing and administrative colleagues, to provide tertiary level care in Children’s Continence.
Working across boundaries and with all levels of health professionals and agencies ensure integrated care for children with continence difficulties influencing care management pathways based on best practice.
Please note that applications from temporary workers who have been engaged with the Trust for a minimum of 3 months are welcome. Secondment with the possibility of becoming permanent.
Role Responsibilities
- To support the Lead Nurse in the ongoing operational management of the Bladder and Bowel service within the Child Development Centre.
- In conjunction with the Lead Nurse ensure the continued provision of high quality care to all children through staff education, governance and professional development.
- To act as an expert in Paediatric continence, co-ordinating care pathways and developing the service to meet national guidelines and standards.
- To co-ordinate the multi-professional approach in the provision care for children who have continence difficulties.
- Facilitate transition from hospital to home, school and into adult services.
