Exciting Opportunity for a Band 7 Highly Specialist Dietitian
We have an exciting opportunity for a Band 7 Highly Specialist Dietitian to provide a comprehensive nutrition and dietetics service in the acute hospital setting to a caseload of in-patient paediatrics, associated clinics.
About the Role
The highly Specialist Paediatric Dietitian is responsible for delivering day-to-day care for children, young people, their families and carers living with dietetic needs and will manage a designated clinical caseload of children and young people with dietetic requirements. The post holder will use clinical judgement and autonomous decision-making about the specialist nursing / AHP care and management of patients, undertaking a range of specialist clinical actions across a variety of settings following assessment of patients' needs and preferences.
They will provide expert and specialist paediatric dietetic advice, education, training and support to key partners within both the community and acute settings and work collaboratively and effectively with all other health care professionals, those allied to health and those in the third sector services.

The post holder will work at an enhanced level of practice utilising highly developed post graduate experience, knowledge and skills in dietetic specialty. They will manage discrete aspects of a patient’s care in collaboration with the multidisciplinary team, within their current level of practice and patient group, aligned to the four pillars of practice and aligned to Trust policy, ‘Enhanced, Advanced and Consultant Level Practice- Nurses, Midwives and Allied Health Professionals (AHPs).’
