Job Description: Paediatric Speech and Language Therapist

Company: Eg (Training) Ltd Speech and Language Therapy Practice.

Job Type: Full-time, permanent post (40 hours per week including lunch breaks, flexible and hybrid working).

Experience: NQP or experienced speech and language therapist.

Salary: From £28,656 per annum / pro rata (dependent on experience).

Base: DE12 7AJ with travel across the Midlands.

Closing date: Friday 30th October 2026

We have an exciting opportunity for a Speech and Language Therapist with an interest in working with a paediatric caseload to join EG(Training)Ltd Speech and Language Therapy. The post is suitable for a Newly Qualified Practitioner (NQP) or a therapist with developing skills and experience.

This role includes a varied therapeutic environment, working in special and mainstream schools, as well as in the community and with case managed clients with more complex needs.

The suitable applicant will be working within a friendly, dedicated, and ambitious team of Speech and Language Therapists, Speech and Language Therapy Assistants and Admin Team.

About Us

We take pride in being a forward thinking Independent Speech and Language Therapy practice who are looking to expand our team with like minded individuals. We provide SLT services across the Midlands region and beyond via in-person and teletherapy services. We also provide training services which include Makaton and Swallowing Awareness courses. As an Independent Speech and Language Therapy company, we are empowered to provide the most effective innovative therapy approaches and solutions for our clients, who often have complex and diverse needs.

Person Specification

Training and Qualifications

  • Recognised Speech & Language Therapy Degree Qualification.
  • Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC) License to Practice.
  • Registered member of RCSLT.
  • Satisfactory DBS check.

Skills and Knowledge

  • You will be confident in providing Speech and Language Therapy assessment, intervention, advice and support for children, their families, and multidisciplinary (MDT) professionals.
  • You will have the ability to build and maintain effective relationships with clients, carers, MDT professionals and colleagues.
  • You will have excellent interpersonal skills and problem-solving skills.
  • You will be able to maintain accurate and comprehensive clinical records in line with the HCPC standards.
  • You will be able to plan, manage and prioritise own caseload with support.
  • You will have effective time management skills, be well organised and be able to prioritise workload.
  • You will be able to work with other members of our team to plan, organise and deliver in service training.
  • You will have excellent attention to detail.
  • You will be committed to providing the best outcomes for our clients.

  • Basic keyboard – IT skills.
  • Full driving licence and car insured for business use.
  • Willingness to travel to see clients across the Midlands and beyond.
