Paediatric Speech and Language Therapist
Bromley, Greater London (BR2) | Permanent, full-time | £35,000–£40,000 per year, depending on experience and skills
About the role
Join a specialist paediatric clinic in Bromley, supporting autistic children and children with speech, language, communication and sensory needs. You’ll deliver evidence-based, child-centred therapy to help children build their communication, confidence and independence.
You’ll manage your own paediatric caseload and work closely with families, schools and an experienced multidisciplinary team. The clinic offers regular supervision, mentoring, specialist autism training and a structured Band 5 to Band 6 clinical progression pathway.
What you’ll do:
- Deliver one-to-one Speech and Language Therapy to children with a range of communication needs.
- Carry out comprehensive assessments using standardised and informal assessment tools.
- Develop individual, evidence-based therapy programmes.
- Prepare clinical reports, recommendations and therapy documentation.
- Manage a varied paediatric caseload independently.
- Work collaboratively with families, schools and other professionals.
- Support and develop Speech and Language Therapy Assistants where appropriate.
- Contribute to service development, audits and quality improvement.
- Take part in multidisciplinary meetings, supervision and continuing professional development.
- Maintain safeguarding, professional practice and documentation standards.

What you’ll need:
- Current HCPC registration as a Speech and Language Therapist.
- At least one year of post-qualification experience at Band 5 level.
- Paediatric experience, including work with autistic children and children with speech, language, communication or sensory needs.
- Confidence assessing children, planning therapy and writing clinical reports.
- The ability to manage a caseload while working collaboratively with families and colleagues.

Hours and working pattern
This is a full-time, clinic-based role in Bromley, BR2, working 37.5 hours per week:
- Wednesday to Friday: 11am–7pm
- Saturday and Sunday: 9am–5pm
- Monday and Tuesday: scheduled days off
Pay and benefits:
- £35,000–£40,000 per year, depending on experience and skills.
- Structured Band 5 to Band 6 clinical progression pathway.
- Equivalent of 7.5 weeks’ annual leave, including bank holidays. Annual leave is scheduled during one week at Easter, the whole month of August and two weeks over Christmas.
- £500 annual wellbeing allowance.
- £500 annual CPD budget.
- Pension contribution.
- Regular clinical and management supervision, mentoring and specialist autism training.
- Supportive multidisciplinary team and long-term development opportunities.
- Skilled Worker visa sponsorship is available for eligible HCPC-registered candidates.
