Role: Speech & Language Therapist – Specialist Education & SEND Services
Salary: £40,000 – £65,000 per annum (DOE)
Setting: Specialist Education – SEND / Paediatric Therapy
Location: South London – Clapham and Surrounding Areas
Hours: Full Time | Monday–Friday | 37.5 hours per week

Overview:
Compass Associates are proud to be partnering with a leading provider of integrated education, assessment, and therapeutic services to recruit multiple Speech & Language Therapists across their expanding SEND provisions.
This is an exciting opportunity to join a growing multidisciplinary service supporting children and young people within mainstream school environments. The organisation works closely with schools, families, and local authorities to deliver specialist assessment, therapy, and inclusion support for children with additional needs.
The successful Speech & Language Therapist will join an established MDT consisting of clinicians including Speech & Language Therapists, Occupational Therapists, Psychologists, and Nurses, providing specialist communication support to children and young people across a range of SEND needs.
These roles offer clinicians the opportunity to shape developing services, work with experienced multidisciplinary teams, and contribute directly to improving communication, participation, and educational outcomes for children and young people.
Location:
Speech & Language Therapy opportunities are available across South London, primarily covering Clapham and Thornton Heath and surrounding areas.

Working Pattern:
- Monday to Friday, 37.5 hours per week
- Full-year and term-time style contracts available
- Approximately 25% protected administration time built into the working week
- Following successful probation, clinicians can access a 10% Rest Time initiative, reducing the standard working day to 6.5 hours while maintaining salary
Criteria:
- HCPC Registered Speech & Language Therapist
- Minimum 2 years post-qualification experience (Band 6 equivalent preferred)
- Paediatric Speech & Language Therapy experience, ideally within education or specialist settings
- Strong understanding of EHCPs and outcome-focused therapy delivery
- Experience supporting children and young people with SEND
Responsibilities Include:
- Deliver high-quality Speech & Language Therapy assessments and interventions for children and young people
- Provide specialist communication support within school environments to promote inclusion and participation
- Assess and support a range of communication needs, working towards individualised outcomes
- Contribute to EHCP assessments, reviews, and recommendations
- Work collaboratively with teaching staff, families, and multidisciplinary colleagues
- Provide consultation and advice to education teams to embed communication strategies within the classroom
- Support children with communication difficulties to develop confidence, independence, and meaningful engagement
- Maintain accurate clinical records and contribute to outcome monitoring
- Support the continued development and growth of the wider clinical service

Salary and Benefits:
- £40,000 – £65,000 per annum depending on experience
