Exciting Opportunity for Band 5 Paediatric Staff Nurse

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a caring, compassionate and enthusiastic Band 5 Paediatric Staff Nurse to join our Emergency Department at DBTH. Our Emergency Department offers a supportive and forward-thinking environment where professional development is actively encouraged. We are looking for individuals who can bring existing paediatric nursing knowledge and skills to the team while continuing to develop their expertise within emergency care.

About the Role

We are seeking motivated and committed paediatric nurses who are passionate about delivering high-quality care to children and young people in a dynamic emergency care environment. This role is ideally suited to nurses who are confident in their paediatric practice, demonstrate sound clinical judgement, and are keen to further develop their skills within a specialist area.

As part of our dedicated paediatric emergency team, you will work alongside experienced colleagues who are committed to delivering outstanding care and supporting ongoing professional development. You will have opportunities to contribute to service improvement initiatives, share best practice, and help shape the delivery of evidence-based care.

Responsibilities

  • Provide safe, effective and compassionate care to children, young people and their families.
  • Contribute ideas, support innovation, and play an active role in maintaining high standards of patient care.
  • Collaborate with the multidisciplinary team and participate in service improvement initiatives.

Requirements

  • Registered Nurse with a paediatric background.
  • Confidence in paediatric practice and sound clinical judgement.
  • Passion for delivering high-quality care to children and young people.
