YouTube Account Director – 12 Month FTC
Location: West London, Hybrid
Salary: £52,000
Start Date: ASAP
I'm working with a leading global media agency to recruit a YouTube Account Director on a 12-month fixed-term contract. This is an exciting opportunity to join a high-performing paid media team, working across a globally recognised premium brand with an impressive portfolio of international sponsorships and campaigns.
This role is ideal for someone with a strong background in Paid Social, Paid Search or Programmatic, who has hands-on experience planning and activating YouTube campaigns and enjoys balancing strategic thinking with operational excellence.
The Role
You'll play a key role in developing and delivering YouTube strategies, overseeing campaign activation and optimisation, and working closely with senior stakeholders to ensure campaigns deliver measurable brand impact. You'll also mentor junior team members, drive best practice across the team, and collaborate with internal specialists and platform partners.

Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement paid YouTube strategies across multiple campaigns.
- Lead media planning and contribute to strategic responses for high-profile briefs.
- Identify opportunities to improve performance and introduce new initiatives.
- Work collaboratively with cross-functional teams across Paid Search, Social and other media channels.
- Build strong relationships with senior stakeholders and platform partners.
- Lead campaign reporting, insights and performance recommendations.
- Maintain high standards of campaign planning, QA and operational processes.
- Support and develop junior team members through coaching and guidance.
- Continuously improve team processes, efficiencies and ways of working.

About You
- 5+ years' experience in Paid Media (Paid Social, Paid Search or Programmatic).
- Strong experience managing YouTube campaigns within Google Ads.
- Confident using YouTube Studio and interpreting platform insights.
- Experience developing paid media strategy alongside hands-on campaign management.
- Previous experience mentoring or managing junior team members.
- Strong client-facing and stakeholder management skills.
- Excellent attention to detail with a proactive, solutions-focused mindset.
