Paid Media Consultant
Salary: £40,000 to £48,000
Working pattern: Hybrid, 2 days per week in the office
Location: Woking, Surrey
A B2B marketing agency in Woking is hiring a Paid Media Consultant to lead performance strategy across their client accounts.
About the Role
This is the senior hands-on seat in the paid function. You would own the strategy, not just the build, and you would be the person clients hear from when it matters.
Responsibilities
- Integrated, cross-channel paid media strategy across Google Ads, Microsoft Ads, Meta Ads, LinkedIn Ads, Reddit and Spotify
- Campaign setup, QA and optimisation across a portfolio of B2B accounts, with real accountability for CPL, CPA, ROAS, CTR and MQL volume
- Attribution, conversion tracking and lead capture, worked through with the Data and MarTech team so paid activity ties back into HubSpot or Salesforce rather than stopping at the click
- Client-facing work: quarterly reviews, strategic planning sessions, presenting findings and recommendations to senior stakeholders
- Testing AI platforms across campaign delivery and internal process, then rolling out what actually earns its place
- Mentoring the paid media team and supporting the Head of Department on how the function runs

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

Useful but not essential: lead scoring, marketing automation workflows, ABM and intent data tools, large budget or international account experience.
Important Note
The measurement here is lead quality and pipeline contribution, not last-click revenue. Applications from an ecommerce PPC background will be considered where there is a clear case for the move into B2B demand generation, but candidates who have not worked a lead gen funnel are unlikely to be a fit.
