Role Overview
As a Paid Media Director, you will lead the delivery and growth of client accounts across a full spectrum of digital media channels, including Display, PPC, Social, and Content, with opportunities to expand into traditional media and OOH. Acting as the senior point of contact for clients and internal teams, you will ensure campaigns are executed effectively, on time, and within budget, while driving strategic direction across channels, measurement, and technology. You will play a key role in advising clients on media strategy, as well as mentoring and developing your team to deliver high-quality service and performance. With strong commercial awareness, you will contribute to resource planning and performance reporting, working closely with senior leadership. As part of Threepipe Reply and the wider Reply network, you will benefit from exposure to broader capabilities across creative, SEO, marketplaces, and technology, supporting continued growth and innovation.
Responsibilities
- Build strong client relationships, developing a deep understanding of business objectives, digital needs, and priorities
- Define and present clear performance and commercial strategies for client accounts
- Lead from the front on key accounts and pitches, troubleshooting delivery challenges and ensuring high-quality execution
- Manage and develop Account Managers, supporting both individual growth and team performance
- Ensure all campaign activity meets or exceeds client performance expectations and aligns with KPIs
- Manage budgets in line with strategy, ensuring accurate forecasting and monthly spend control
- Collaborate with internal teams (SEO, Creative, Marketplaces, Data & Analytics) to deliver integrated client strategies
- Implement and oversee measurement frameworks with analytics teams to evaluate campaign effectiveness
- Maintain high standards of delivery through effective briefing, task management, and quality control of team outputs
- Contribute to departmental development, including recruitment, forecasting, training, new business, supplier relationships, and adoption of technology and automation

About the Candidate
- Degree with a minimum 2:1 classification (ideally in science, business, or marketing)
- 4–5+ years’ experience managing paid media accounts, delivering against performance-driven client goals across multiple channels
- Strong understanding of the wider digital media landscape, with experience compiling cross-channel media plans
- Proven ability to influence clients and build strong, long-term relationships through effective communication and presentation skills
- Strategic and creative mindset, with a focus on improving performance and identifying new opportunities
- Experience using AI to enhance workflows, efficiency, and speed of delivery
- Strong analytical and numerical skills, including advanced Excel capabilities and ability to translate data into actionable insights
- Demonstrated ability to manage and coach teams, driving performance and fostering development
- Highly organised with strong attention to detail, able to prioritise effectively in fast-paced environments
- Proactive and curious, with the ability to research industry trends and identify opportunities for clients and the business
- Strong interpersonal skills, with professionalism, diplomacy, and the ability to communicate effectively at all levels
- The following are advantageous: experience across PPC, Paid Social and Display, ad server tracking, Google Analytics, and a commercial/entrepreneurial mindset with proven upsell capability
