About addmustard
Why We Exist and What We Do
addmustard is an award-winning brand, marketing and technology agency for entrepreneurs. We combine the strategic and creative firepower of an advertising agency with the precision and incision of a digital marketing agency to grow the value of our clients' businesses.
We are a team of 35 brilliant brand, marketing and technology experts: a core in-house team based in the United Kingdom: Soho, London and Brighton, Sussex. Supported by a network of specialists from around the world.
How We Add Value to Our Clients
addmustard has worked with over 50 founders since 2013. We've created spectacular investment success stories and exits.
Our roots are the in-house marketing team of a VC-backed start-up that grew to £350m in four years.
We're hired directly by investors to help grow the value of their investments.
We've:
- Increased the value of a telecoms to cybersecurity business from £240m to £795m
- Turned a £10.1m loss into a £4.3m operating profit for a luxury retailer
- Enabled a 27x exit multiple for an online travel business
- Added £19.5m of brand value through an integrated campaign for an estate agent
Who We're Looking For
Our brand and culture are bold, precise, energetic, and irreverent. You will need to be all four, too. And because our clients are entrepreneurial, you need to have or be keen to develop an understanding of the unique challenges of working with entrepreneurs and their businesses.
We're looking for an exceptional commercial and strategic leader to build and lead addmustard's paid media proposition.
Objectives and Responsibilities
- Lead and continually evolve addmustard’s paid media proposition, ensuring it remains commercially differentiated, innovative and focused on creating measurable business value for clients.
- Become a trusted strategic advisor to founders, CEOs, marketing leaders, and investors, translating business goals, forecasts, and growth ambitions into clear paid media strategies.
- Own the strategic direction and performance of paid media across the client portfolio, building a strong understanding of each client's products, audiences, commercial objectives, and customer journey to ensure budgets, channel plans, and optimisation priorities deliver measurable business outcomes.
- Lead, mentor, and develop the paid media team, setting high standards for strategic thinking, campaign execution, communication, accountability, and progression.
- Work closely with SEO, CRO, data, creative, brand, content, and technology teams to deliver integrated growth strategies, ensuring paid media supports the full customer journey across both online and offline touchpoints.
- Drive the trading and performance of client products across paid media, understanding the nuances of different product types, audience behaviours, and buying journeys to shape strategy, optimisation, and innovation across platforms.
- Lead paid media audits, proposals, pitches, and senior client presentations, identifying opportunities to win new business, grow existing accounts, and strengthen addmustard’s commercial performance.
- Establish and maintain robust processes, quality standards, forecasting, and reporting across all paid media delivery, ensuring strategies are translated into consistently excellent work.
- Contribute actively to addmustard’s leadership team, helping shape agency priorities, develop the wider Performance proposition, and improve how teams collaborate to deliver exceptional client outcomes.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
