Paid Media Executive

We are looking for a hands-on Paid Media Executive to plan, build, manage and optimise paid search and paid social campaigns across the AD Group.

Working with the Marketing Director, you will translate wider marketing strategies and campaign briefs into effective paid-media activity across Google Ads, Microsoft Advertising, LinkedIn, Meta and other relevant platforms. Your campaigns will support candidate acquisition, client lead generation, brand awareness, events, salary guides and other strategic initiatives across our businesses.

This is a delivery-focused role with genuine ownership of campaign performance. You will monitor budgets, test audiences and creatives, improve landing-page conversion and turn campaign data into clear commercial insight. It would suit someone with one to two years of practical paid-media experience who is ready to broaden their remit across multiple brands and international markets.

About Alexander Daniels

Alexander Daniels is a boutique recruitment consultancy operating across multiple specialist divisions. We work closely with clients and candidates, taking a relationship-led approach to recruitment and focusing on long-term outcomes rather than short-term transactions.

Our marketing function plays a key role in supporting this, helping to build brand awareness, trust and engagement across our markets.

It’s an exciting time to join the team. We are building a more structured, commercially focused marketing function, with the ambition to create a best-in-class approach to recruitment marketing. This role will be part of that journey from the early stages.

About You

You enjoy the detail of campaign delivery but understand that clicks and impressions are not the end goal. You want to know whether activity generated the right candidate, the right client conversation or a genuine commercial opportunity. You are comfortable working with data, curious about why performance changes and willing to test new approaches. You can work independently day to day while collaborating closely with a wider team and taking strategic direction from the Marketing Director.

In your first year, you will have:

  • Established consistent, well-organised campaign delivery and reporting across the group.
  • Improved visibility of spend, performance and lead quality by brand and channel.
  • Built a reliable programme of optimisation and testing rather than treating campaigns as one-off launches.
  • Improved key efficiency measures such as conversion rate, cost per qualified lead or application, and return on advertising spend.
  • Helped the marketing and recruitment teams understand which campaigns and channels generate meaningful commercial outcomes.
  • Developed into a trusted in-house specialist who brings evidence, ideas and practical recommendations to campaign planning.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

What You’ll Be Doing

You’ll support the delivery of paid marketing activity across the group, with a focus on PPC and paid social media:

Campaign delivery and optimisation

  • Build, launch and manage paid search campaigns across Google Ads and Microsoft Advertising.
  • Build and manage paid social campaigns across LinkedIn, Meta and other relevant platforms.
  • Translate campaign objectives and briefs into appropriate channel, audience, keyword, bidding and budget plans.
  • Monitor spend and pacing across brands, campaigns and platforms, ensuring budgets are used effectively.
  • Optimise campaigns regularly to improve lead quality, cost per acquisition, conversion rate and overall return on investment.
  • Manage keyword research, search terms, negative keywords, audience segmentation, retargeting and bid adjustments.
  • Coordinate campaign assets, copy and creative requirements with the wider marketing team.
  • Keep campaigns accurate, compliant, on brand and delivered to agreed deadlines.

Testing and conversion improvement

  • Create structured test plans covering ad copy, creative, formats, audiences, keywords, offers and calls to action.
  • Work with the Marketing Director and wider team to recommend and implement improvements to campaign landing pages.
  • Use performance and user-behaviour data to identify friction and improve conversion rates.
  • Share learning across brands so that successful approaches can be repeated and adapted.

Reporting and insight

  • Maintain clear, accurate reporting across paid-media channels, brands and campaigns.
  • Track performance against agreed objectives and KPIs, including spend, reach, traffic, conversion rate, cost per lead or application, lead quality and attributable revenue where available.
  • Produce regular reports that explain what happened, why it happened and what action should follow.
  • Work with the Marketing Director to improve campaign attribution and connect activity to CRM outcomes.
  • Identify trends, risks and opportunities early and make practical recommendations.

Collaboration and continuous improvement

  • Work closely with the Marketing Director, Group Marketing Manager, Social Media and Communications Executive, Marketing Assistant, consultants and business leaders.
  • Support paid amplification of wider campaigns, content, events, salary guides and candidate or client initiatives.
  • Stay current with platform changes, privacy developments and paid-media best practice.
  • Maintain organised campaign documentation, naming conventions and account structures across the group.
  • Contribute ideas to improve the team’s processes, reporting and commercial impact.
