Paid Media Lead

company Kubix | Shopify Platinum Partner
location Birmingham, England, United Kingdom
posted 3 Sept

We're looking for a senior paid media specialist to run our most complex accounts and help hold the standard for how we deliver.

Are you a senior paid media specialist who wants to keep your hands in the accounts while helping a team raise its game? At Kubix, our clients rely on us for sophisticated, cross-channel growth strategies. And as a Google Premier Partner, we operate in the top 3% of agencies in the UK.

This is a senior delivery role with a team lead layer on top. You'll run your own portfolio of complex, high-spend eCommerce accounts to a senior standard, and you'll set the bar for how everyone else's work gets done. You'll be the first person the team comes to on workload, escalations and day-to-day questions. This role reports directly into the Performance Director, who holds strategy and commercial outcomes across the wider portfolio.

The balance matters here. This suits someone who wants to keep building campaigns at a senior level alongside operational and mentoring responsibilities.

What You'll Do

  • Senior Account Delivery: Manage a portfolio of complex, high-spend eCommerce accounts end to end, with performance tracked against agreed goals.
  • Setting the Technical Bar: QA campaign builds, account structures and feed work across the team before anything launches. You'll be the team's go-to for Google Ads and Meta platform questions, and you'll keep testing findings documented and shared so they don't sit siloed in individual accounts.
  • Proactive Workload Management: Make sure work is scoped, briefed and prioritised ahead of deadlines. You'll work closely with the Production Manager on resourcing, flagging capacity pressures and conflicts early, before they turn into problems.
  • First Point of Contact: Triage client escalations and resolve what you can, bringing context and a recommendation to any commercial or strategic decision that needs the Director. You'll also handle day-to-day people admin - leave, coverage, calendar conflicts - ensuring client work never drops.
  • Client Onboarding: Once goals and budgets are confirmed, coordinate the practical setup. Briefing, integrating processes, and getting accounts running within team standards.
  • Process Building: Keep existing workflows and tools running properly, and build new ones where gaps appear - from QA checklists to onboarding steps. You'll own process end to end rather than flagging where it breaks.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

Only hits

No noise. No "maybe this fits." Just roles with a clear explanation of why they're right — and where to focus when applying.

About You

  • You Work Ahead: You get stuck in early rather than up against the deadline.
  • You Escalate Early: You know what to resolve yourself and what needs the Director's input, and you always arrive with a recommendation alongside the problem.
  • You're Approachable: You're the person the team comes to first, so questions and mistakes surface early.
  • You're Comfortable With Other People's Work: You're happy reviewing and QA-ing across the team, not only your own accounts.
  • You Build for the Team: When you spot a workaround being repeated, you turn it into a documented process instead of letting it live in one person's head.
  • You're A Confident Communicator: You communicate clearly with clients, with your team, and upward to leadership.

Skills / Qualities

  • 5 to 6 Years Hands-On Paid Media Experience
    • Strong depth in Google Ads and Meta at a senior level. Agency-side experience is essential, experience with eCommerce businesses is strongly preferred.
  • Complex Account Ownership: A track record of managing complex or high-spend accounts independently.
  • Mentoring Experience
    • You've mentored or informally led junior team members.
  • Strong Prioritisation Instincts: You flag problems before they land on someone else's desk.
  • Technical Tracking: Experience with Google Tag Manager or server-side tracking.
  • Feed Management: Familiarity with product feed setup and optimisation for Shopping and PMax.
  • Broader Social Platforms: Experience across TikTok, Pinterest or Snapchat alongside Meta.

Salary Expectations:

We appreciate that showing a salary indication is helpful for you to know whether it works with your personal circumstances, and it can be extremely frustrating to keep something so important so vague. But honestly? We’re in a position to consider a wide variety of experiences and salary levels for this role, so we’d rather discuss your experience and skills than try to set a salary bracket.

If you’re the best person for the role, then we’ll offer a salary that works.
