The Role
Digital Tonic are working with a growing online pharmacy as they look to appoint their first dedicated Paid Media Manager. This is a newly created position offering the opportunity to take complete ownership of paid acquisition at an exciting stage of the company’s growth. Paid media has previously been managed with freelance support, but the business is now ready to bring this expertise in-house. You’ll inherit established campaigns and a significant monthly budget, with the freedom to assess the current approach, identify opportunities for improvement and build a scalable acquisition strategy.
Reporting directly to the Co-Founder, you’ll set the overarching paid media strategy while remaining fully hands-on with campaign management across Google Ads, Meta Ads and other relevant channels. You’ll take accountability for ROAS, CPA, paid revenue and profitability, using these metrics to make commercially informed decisions about campaign optimisation and budget allocation.
You’ll develop an ongoing testing roadmap across audiences, creative, bidding strategies and landing pages, continually identifying new opportunities to improve performance and scale customer acquisition efficiently. You’ll also strengthen tracking, attribution and reporting, providing the wider business with a clear and reliable view of paid media performance. As results develop, you’ll build the commercial case for further investment and explore emerging acquisition channels. You’ll work alongside the wider team to ensure paid activity complements its focus on customer retention, loyalty and lifetime value.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
