A bit about the company:

Established in 1994, The Fragrance Shop is the UK’s leading independent fragrance retailer. Our aim is to make mainstream and luxury fragrances affordable and accessible to all. We showcase over 130 fragrance brands available in over 220 stores throughout UK, online at www.thefragranceshop.co.uk, and via our app and mobile site, as well as over the phone. The Fragrance Shop is on a steep growth track with many exciting new development plans. We are expanding and are looking for a Buyer to join the team and be part of a growing and vibrant brand.

We’re looking for a commercially driven Paid Media Manager to join our Digital team and play a key role in driving profitable online growth across Paid Search, Display, Retargeting and SEO, with some support for Paid Social.

Why you’ll love working here:

  • Enjoy work-life balance with our flexible working scheme - including 15 work from home days a year, duvet days and the choice to flex your working hours.
  • Vibrant state-of-the-art office, conveniently located in Trafford Park with great transport links and free onsite parking
  • No need to travel to the gym – we have one here for you! Take advantage of our free onsite gym facilities before/after work or even pop in at lunch time
  • Generous staff discounts on a wide range of fabulous fragrances
  • Excellent progression and development opportunities - work with teams who are passionate about what they do and develop your expertise within a creative and collaborative space
  • A key role within a growing Digital and E-commerce team.

The role:

As Paid Media Manager, you’ll own the strategy, planning and performance of our Paid Media activity, with a particular focus on Google Ads, while also leading our overall SEO strategy and external agency relationship.

You’ll work closely with our Search Executive, alongside E-commerce, Trading, CRM, Content and Creative teams.

This is a hands-on, commercially focused role where you’ll use data, insight and testing to grow traffic, revenue and customer acquisition, ensuring our investment delivers strong returns.

Responsibilities:

  • Own the strategy, planning and performance of Paid Media across Paid Search, Display and Retargeting, with a particular focus on Google Ads, including Search, Shopping and Performance Max. Support Paid Social execution alongside the Paid Social Manager where extra hands are needed, rather than owning it.
  • Manage budgets and optimise activity against revenue, ROAS, COS and customer acquisition targets.
  • Identify opportunities to grow performance through new audiences, products, keywords, channels and campaign expansion.
  • Lead testing across bidding, creative, audiences, ad copy, landing pages and campaign structures.
  • Oversee Google Merchant Centre and product feed optimisation.
  • Ensure Paid Media activity supports key trading periods, product launches and wider marketing campaigns.
  • Work with Creative and Content teams to develop and test performance-led creative and messaging.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
