Paid Media Manager
About the role
We’re looking for a passionate Paid Media Manager to support our growing Performance and Social Team in peak media planning and activating periods. You will primarily focus on the planning of media and activation of campaigns across paid social, PPC and programmatic.
From constructing a laydown to tackling the ever-changing Meta Ads Manager to build a campaign, we’ll look to you to have a passion for detail and performance – ensuring our clients budgets are managed responsibly and in a way that drives results.
At Linney, we work with a range of clients from all sizes and sectors, many of which are household names — from beauty clients to high street food and beverage chains.
As part of the Performance and Social Team, your work will ensure our clients are sector-leading in agile paid management and be part of our vision to be industry-leading curators of online culture.
Requirements
The ideal candidate will have a passion for digital advertising in all its forms, understanding the link between performance and brand building. All with a keen eye for detail to ensure we’re giving our clients the best service available when buying media on their behalf.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

We’re believers that creative can be as powerful as targeting and our proposition is that of an “agile media partner”. We don’t take weeks just to get a Meta or TikTok Ad live and when we spot opportunities for optimisation we jump on them straight away.
The world of paid media is constantly evolving, from the rise of CTV and Retail Media to the change in measurement from direct-response to MMM — we’d look to you to have a finger on the pulse and share updates where they are relevant for the team and our clients.
We’d look to you to report on key statistics around community management, how the fanbase is growing and sentiment analysis.
The successful candidate will lead on some of our largest clients, so you will need to have the confidence to share reporting updates with key stakeholders at a high level in a way that is easily digestible for non-paid media professionals.
Specifics
- Demonstrable experience working in a paid media management or role that includes paid social and PPC.

- A deep understanding of online culture, always looking to stay ahead of current trends in the paid space.
- Experience managing budgets upwards of £25k
- Experience working with brands from a range of sectors.
- You will need to have the ability to handle sensitive topics and resolve conflicts in a diplomatic manner.
