Are you an experienced paid media professional who thrives on delivering measurable growth through data-driven marketing strategies?

We're looking for a Paid Performance Marketing Manager to join our team at Funky Pigeon. This is an exciting opportunity to take ownership of paid performance activity across a well-established e-commerce brand, driving customer acquisition, revenue growth and return on investment through Paid Search, Paid Social and Affiliate channels.

Working closely with agency partners and internal stakeholders, you'll lead the development and delivery of paid media strategies that support commercial objectives, optimise customer acquisition and maximise performance across a significant digital marketing budget. You'll play a key role in shaping how our brand performs across digital channels, using data, insight and emerging technologies to drive continuous improvement and innovation.

Based in Bristol, with a flexible hybrid way of working, this is a fantastic opportunity to join a growing digital function and make a meaningful impact. Colleagues are expected to work from the office 2-3 days per week, with additional attendance where business needs require.

Main Responsibilities

As a Paid Performance Marketing Manager, you will lead the development and execution of paid media strategies across Paid Search, Paid Social and Affiliate channels, ensuring activity delivers against traffic, revenue and return on investment targets. Working closely with agency partners, you'll identify optimisation opportunities, oversee campaign execution and ensure budgets are invested effectively to maximise commercial performance.

  • Manage forecasting, planning and performance reporting across paid media channels, using data and insights to inform decision-making and drive continuous improvement. By analysing metrics such as CTR, CPC, ROAS and conversion rates, you'll identify opportunities to improve efficiency and profitability whilst providing clear recommendations to stakeholders across the business.

  • Work collaboratively with Marketing, Commercial, Data and Trading teams, aligning paid media activity with wider business objectives, ensuring campaigns support key trading events, promotional activity and product launches.

  • Partner with agencies and technology providers to develop testing roadmaps, implement best-in-class tracking solutions and explore new opportunities across emerging platforms and technologies.

  • As the subject matter expert for paid performance marketing, stay ahead of industry trends, platform developments and changes in consumer behaviour, helping to shape future strategy and maintain a competitive advantage.

  • Build strong relationships with key partners, including major platform providers, and play an important role in driving innovation and long-term digital growth.

The Ideal Candidate

  • Proven experience managing Paid Search, Paid Social and/or Affiliate Marketing campaigns within an e-commerce environment.
  • Strong knowledge of platforms such as Google Ads, Search Ads 360, Google Merchant Centre and Microsoft Ads.
  • Experience managing agencies, external partners and significant paid media budgets.
  • Highly analytical and commercially minded, with the ability to translate complex performance data into actionable insights.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to build strong relationships across internal teams and external partners.
