Paid Search Manager | £40,000-£45,000 | Manchester | Media Agency | Hybrid

Are you a Paid Media specialist with a strong background in Paid Search?

Want to take ownership of major performance campaigns while developing your experience across the wider media mix?

If so, this could be worth a look.

We're working with an established independent media agency in Manchester who are looking for a Digital Manager (Paid Search) to join their growing team.

This is a predominantly Paid Search focused role, working across a portfolio of large performance clients with combined media spend of around £500k per month.

You'll have plenty of autonomy across your accounts, taking ownership of campaign activation and optimisation while getting involved in strategy, planning, measurement and client relationships.

There's also the opportunity to broaden your experience beyond Paid Search, with exposure to Paid Social, Programmatic Display and the wider media landscape.

The Role:

You'll take ownership of Paid Media activity across a portfolio of established clients, with the majority of your time focused on Paid Search.

  • Plan, activate, manage and optimise high-spend Paid Search campaigns across Google Ads and Microsoft Advertising
  • Take ownership of campaign performance, budgets, measurement and reporting across your client portfolio
  • Analyse performance data to identify trends, opportunities and areas for improvement
  • Work directly with clients, communicating results and making strategic recommendations
  • Gain exposure to Paid Social, Programmatic Display and wider media planning alongside specialists across the agency

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

Only hits

No noise. No "maybe this fits." Just roles with a clear explanation of why they're right — and where to focus when applying.

You'll be trusted to make your own calls, challenge existing approaches and look for new ways to improve performance rather than simply following a set campaign process.

Your Profile:

You'll ideally already have a solid background in Paid Search and be comfortable taking ownership of campaigns yourself.

Agency experience would be beneficial, particularly if you're used to working across multiple client accounts, but they're ultimately looking for someone with strong hands-on Paid Search knowledge and the curiosity to keep developing.

You'll be comfortable working with performance data, spotting trends and turning those insights into practical changes within your campaigns.

Strong communication skills will also be important. You'll work closely with clients and the wider agency team, so you'll need to be comfortable explaining your thinking, making recommendations and challenging assumptions when you see an opportunity to do something differently.

You don't need to be an expert across every Paid Media channel. A strong Paid Search foundation is the priority, with the opportunity to develop further across Paid Social, Display and the wider media mix.
