About Velocity+
Velocity+ is a growth-focused e-commerce agency built for ambitious brands that want senior thinking, fast execution and commercially accountable marketing.
We work across Paid Social, Paid Search, creative strategy and production, helping emerging DTC businesses scale customer acquisition without losing sight of profitability.
We are looking for a Paid Social Account Manager who can combine hands-on Meta expertise with strong client leadership, creative judgement and commercial thinking. This is not a role for someone who only reports on platform metrics; you will be expected to understand how media, creative, product, margin and customer behaviour work together to drive sustainable growth.
The Role
You will take end-to-end ownership of a focused portfolio of e-commerce accounts. You will set the strategic direction, manage campaign execution, lead client communication and work closely with a dedicated designer and supporting team members to maintain a strong testing and delivery cadence.
Your success will be measured by the quality of the client relationship, the commercial progress of the brands you manage and the consistency with which your accounts are planned, executed, analysed and improved.
What You Will Own
- Account strategy and growth planning. Build clear Paid Social strategies and 30/60/90-day growth plans that connect spend, creative, product, audience and profitability.
- Full-funnel campaign management. Plan, build, optimise and scale Meta campaigns across acquisition, retargeting, catalogue and promotional activity, using consolidated account structures wherever this supports stronger learning and performance.
- Commercial performance. Make decisions using CPA/CAC, MER, contribution margin, AOV, new versus returning customer mix, LTV, volume and revenue - not ROAS in isolation.
- Budget ownership. Control budgets, forecasts, scaling decisions and cost controls with a clear understanding of risk, efficiency and the client’s wider commercial targets.
- Client leadership. Act as the primary day-to-day contact for your accounts, leading weekly calls and providing clear, proactive communication through Slack, email and Google Meet.
- Reporting and insight. Deliver useful weekly reporting that explains what happened, why it happened, what it means for the business and what action will be taken next.
- Creative strategy. Translate account data, customer research and brand positioning into high-quality creative briefs, testing roadmaps, personas, hooks, formats and angles.
- Creative delivery cadence. Work with the designer and wider pod to maintain a reliable flow of new work - typically 4-6 new concepts every two weeks and 20+ assets per month, adapted to each client’s needs.
- Testing and iteration. Create clear testing frameworks, identify creative fatigue, protect learning, scale winners and turn results into repeatable creative and media learnings.
- Onboarding and tracking. Support new-client onboarding, account audits, access setup, tracking checks, pixel/CAPI quality, naming conventions, QA and launch readiness.
- Cross-channel collaboration. Work closely with Paid Search, UGC, design and analytics support so that client growth plans are aligned rather than managed in silos.
- Retention and expansion. Build trusted relationships, surface opportunities early, resolve issues quickly and help clients see the value and direction of the work.
- Operational excellence. Keep account documentation, briefs, task management, QA and upload schedules accurate and up to date, including a disciplined fortnightly ad-launch rhythm.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

How We Think About Performance
Velocity+ is focused on driving volume and spend while holding a scalable MER. That requires an Account Manager who can balance short-term platform efficiency with the wider economics of the brand.
- Profit before vanity metrics. Understand the relationship between media efficiency, gross margin, contribution margin, discounting, fulfilment costs and customer value.
- Creative is a growth lever. Treat creative strategy and production as central to performance, not as a separate service or a request to hand over to someone else.
- Consolidation over fragmentation. Build structures that give Meta enough data to learn, reduce overlap and make budget allocation easier to control.
- Clear evidence, decisive action. Know when to protect a test, when to cut waste, when to scale and when a change in AOV, product mix or customer quality is driving the result.
- New customer quality matters. Look beyond purchase volume to understand who is buying, what they are buying and whether acquisition is creating profitable future value.
Tools and Data
You should be confident working directly in the core platforms used to run and understand an e-commerce account:
- Meta Ads Manager and Business Manager, including Advantage+ audiences/campaigns, CBOs, catalogue activity, cost controls and partnership ads.
- Shopify data for revenue, order volume, product mix, AOV and new-versus-returning customer behaviour.
- Storehero or comparable profit analytics tools for MER, contribution margin, CAC and blended commercial reporting.
- Klaviyo and customer/audience data where this supports segmentation, exclusions and lifecycle understanding.
- Google Sheets or Excel for analysis, pacing, forecasting and client reporting.
- Slack, Google Meet and task-management systems for client and internal communication.
Skills and Experience
- 3+ years of hands-on Paid Social experience, with Meta as a core channel.
- 2+ years working with e-commerce or DTC brands, ideally in an agency environment.
- A proven ability to own multiple client accounts and prioritise effectively in a fast-moving environment.
- Ability to confidently navigate AI Platforms and models for both analytics and creative production
- Strong analytical skills and confidence moving between platform data, Shopify performance and wider commercial metrics.
- A solid understanding of creative strategy, customer research, messaging, testing and creative performance analysis.
- Excellent written and verbal communication, including the ability to simplify complex performance issues for clients.
- Strong attention to detail across campaign builds, budgets, tracking, reporting and creative QA.
- A commercially minded approach: you understand that client retention is earned through performance, clarity, reliability and trust.
Useful but Not Essential
- Experience with Google Ads or the ability to work confidently alongside a Paid Search specialist.
- Knowledge of Meta Pixel, Conversions API, event testing, attribution and e-commerce tracking troubleshooting.
- Experience using profit analytics, cohort data or new-customer reporting to guide channel strategy.
- Experience mentoring an executive, coordinating a pod or contributing to agency processes and training.

What Good Looks Like
- Clients know where they stand. Communication is proactive, reports are useful and there are no surprises around performance, budgets or next steps.
- Every account has a clear plan. Campaign changes, creative priorities and growth opportunities are driven by an agreed strategy rather than reactive platform management.
- Creative keeps moving. Briefs are commercially relevant, assets launch on time and the account builds a growing bank of proven angles, personas and formats.
- Performance improves with discipline. Tests are structured, learnings are documented, waste is controlled and scaling decisions are supported by evidence.
- The wider business is understood. You can explain how media performance connects to AOV, product mix, margin, new-customer quality and the client’s wider growth target.
- The pod works as one team. Designers, executives and specialists have clear priorities, useful context and the support required to deliver high-quality work.
How We Work
- Ownership. You take responsibility for the outcome, communicate early and bring solutions rather than waiting to be directed.
- Commercial clarity. You connect platform decisions to the real economics and priorities of the client’s business.
- High standards, low ego. You care about quality, welcome challenge and work collaboratively across disciplines.
- Pace with discipline. You move quickly without sacrificing QA, strategic thinking or clear documentation.
- Continuous improvement. You actively look for better ways to structure accounts, brief creative, communicate with clients and run the pod.
Progression and Development
Velocity+ is growing, and this role is designed to grow with it. You will have regular performance reviews, a clear development plan and direct exposure to senior leadership. Strong performers can progress from Account Manager into Senior Account Manager and, over time, into a Pod Lead or broader management position. Development will focus on both craft and leadership: advanced media strategy, commercial account ownership, creative direction, client management, team coordination and the ability to help shape a high-performing agency operation.
The Ideal Candidate
- Enjoys the pace and accountability of an e-commerce agency environment.
- Is equally comfortable inside Ads Manager, analysing a spreadsheet, briefing a creative and leading a client call.
- Thinks like an owner and understands that small operational details can have a major impact on client trust.
- Is curious about brands, customers, products and the reasons performance changes - not just the numbers shown in-platform.
- Can challenge a client constructively, make a recommendation and explain the commercial reasoning behind it.
- Wants to join a smaller, ambitious agency where they can influence the standard of work and the way the team develops.
Salary + Perks
- 40k/year Salary
- 28 days annual leave (including bank holidays)
- Fully remote (UK-based)
- Clear performance-based progression
- Direct access to senior leadership
- Real account ownership and responsibility
