Plant Manager - Paint
Warwick | £45,000 - £65,000 DOE | Permanent
A 4-day week: 37 hours per week (Mon to Thu) between 06:30 and 16:00.
The Role
We're recruiting on behalf of a well-established UK manufacturer for an experienced Plant Manager to lead its paint facility in Warwick. You'll lead the paint production team and drive performance across safety, quality, cost, delivery, and people.
Day to day, you'll:
- Plan production schedules, resources, and labor to meet demand
- Lead, coach, and develop the team, including absence management and employee relations
- Monitor performance and put recovery plans in place when output falls short
- Drive continuous improvement to cut waste and improve efficiency
- Keep the plant compliant with H&S, environmental, and quality standards, including ISO 9001 and ISO 14001 and paint permit requirements
- Manage stock, consumables, and preventive maintenance across the paint plant
- Work closely with internal stakeholders to hit business and customer targets

What you'll need
- Proven leadership in a manufacturing, production, or workshop environment
- Solid paint process knowledge, including airless paint systems and two-pack primers and topcoats
- Experience with blast and paint booth plant
- Strong H&S, environmental, and quality knowledge
- Experience handling formal employee relations, including disciplinaries, grievances, and redundancy processes
- A management or production-related qualification (NVQ3/HNC or equivalent), plus at least 5 years in a relevant industry
- IOSH and First Aid training
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills, and a hands-on style that motivates teams

Also required
- Flexibility for weekday and weekend overtime
- Willingness to travel across the UK, with a full driving license
- Psychometric assessment as part of the process
