The family is in their fifth generation and plays a hands-on role in running the business. Most people know us for our stairlifts. Our range of products includes lifts, escalators, and homelifts. We also provide maintenance and repair services.
Job Description
Paint Plant Operative Job - Newburn - Apply Now to join Stannah
Are you a dedicated Production Operative ready to join a newly fitted Paint Plant Department at our site in Newburn.
As a Paint Plant Operative, your job will be loading and unloading sections of rails for painting. As well as wrapping and packing rail sections into crates, ready for transit to return to their specified location.
You will work 36 hours a week, with a shift pattern of 4 days on, 4 days off. Although during your training period you will be working Monday to Friday.
You will receive a competitive salary with 15% shift premium on top.
To be successful in this job, we are looking for a candidate who is a team player, well organised and works effectively under pressure. You will need to be able to plan, prioritise and stay calm in a busy working environment.

Responsibilities:
- Bunging of components as per the drawing provided
- Hanging of components onto the relevant over head track
- Unloading of components and placing parts into the packing area
- Inspect work against quality criteria and demonstrate capability against these standards
- Wrap each component using specific wrapping materials and techniques
- Crate individual components ready for distribution
- Conduct re-work to specified standards when required

Qualifications
Requirements
- GCSE or equivalent
- Worked in a modern manufacturing environment
- Ability to plan, prioritise and organise workloads
- Pro-actively participate in Continuous Improvement
- Must be committed to cross-functional training.
- Manual shot blasting and handgun powder coating experience an advantage
