Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site Painter and Decorator role based in the London Area, United Kingdom. The Painter and Decorator will prepare surfaces by cleaning, sanding, filling, and priming walls, ceilings, doors, and other structures. Daily tasks include applying paints, coatings, and finishes using brushes, rollers, and spray equipment, as well as carrying out detailed decorative work where required. The role involves selecting appropriate materials, mixing and matching colors, protecting surrounding areas, and ensuring work meets quality, safety, and site standards. The Painter and Decorator will collaborate with site supervisors and other trades, follow project timelines, and maintain a clean and organized work area throughout each job.

Qualifications

- Strong practical skills in paint application and general painting, with the ability to work accurately and efficiently.
- Proficiency in painting and decorating, including preparation, finishing, and decorative techniques for different surfaces.
- Experience with coatings and spray painting, including knowledge of appropriate products and equipment for various site conditions.
- CSCS or equivalent site safety certification, with a solid understanding of health and safety practices on construction sites.
- Ability to read basic drawings or instructions, plan work effectively, and manage time to meet project deadlines.
- Attention to detail, good communication skills, and a reliable, professional approach to on-site work.
- Previous experience in residential, commercial, or construction painting and decorating is highly beneficial.
