Location: Hull and surrounding areas, with occasional UK travel

Salary: A GBP 16.40 per hour

Hours: Guaranteed 39 hours per week

Overtime: Time and a half, with double time for weekend working

Position: Permanent, Full Time

Pittaway Group is a fourth-generation, family-owned painting and decorating business with over 100 years of history. Based in Hull, we have built an excellent reputation for delivering high-quality work across a wide range of domestic, commercial, and industrial projects.

The Role

Due to continued work and growth, we are looking for a reliable and experienced Painter and Decorator to join our established team.

Typical Duties Will Include

  • Preparing surfaces ready for painting and decorating
  • Carrying out high-quality internal and external painting
  • Applying a range of finishes to the required standard
  • Working across domestic, commercial, and industrial environments
  • Ensuring work is completed safely, efficiently, and to a high standard
  • Maintaining a clean and professional working environment
  • Working effectively as part of an experienced team
  • Travelling to sites when required

The Ideal Candidate

We are looking for someone who takes genuine pride in their trade and wants to become part of a long-established business.

Requirements

  • Previous professional painting and decorating experience
  • A valid CSCS Card
  • A full UK driving licence
  • A good standard of workmanship and attention to detail
  • Reliability and excellent timekeeping
  • A professional approach when working on customers' premises
  • Flexibility to occasionally travel and work away from home
  • A genuine interest in painting and decorating and producing quality work

Above all, we need someone dependable who will turn up when expected, work hard, and take pride in doing the job properly.
