Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site Painter and Decorator role based in Milton Keynes. The Painter and Decorator will prepare surfaces by cleaning, sanding, filling, and priming, and apply a range of paints and coatings to internal and external areas in line with project specifications.
Day-to-day tasks include:
- Carrying out brush, roller, and spray painting
- Hanging wall coverings where required
- Protecting surrounding surfaces
- Ensuring a clean and safe working environment
The role involves working on new-build and occupied properties, following site health and safety procedures, coordinating with other trades, and meeting programme deadlines and quality standards.
The Painter and Decorator will also be expected to:
- Follow method statements
- Use appropriate PPE
- Represent the company professionally when interacting with site teams and clients

Qualifications
- Strong practical skills in Painting and Decorating, including surface preparation and finish quality.
- Experience working with a variety of Paint and Coatings suitable for internal and external environments.
- Proficiency in Painting and Spray Painting techniques for both commercial and residential projects.
- Relevant industry experience or vocational qualifications (e.g., NVQ or equivalent) in painting and decorating.
- Good understanding of health and safety practices, including safe use of access equipment and PPE.
- Ability to read and follow drawings, specifications, and method statements, with strong attention to detail.
- Reliable, punctual, and able to work as part of a site-based team in a fast-paced construction environment.
- Full UK driving licence and access to transport are beneficial; willingness to travel to sites across the region as required.
