About The Role
Pertemps Maidstone seeks an experienced Painter & Decorator for a temporary, full-time assignment based in Gillingham.
You will join a facilities management team, delivering high-quality decoration and maintenance across various buildings. The role involves surface preparation, painting, and papering to a professional standard, ensuring all tasks meet strict specifications.
This position runs from 01 September to 31 October 2026, with working hours of 09:00 to 17:00, Monday to Friday, plus occasional weekend work. The hourly rate is £16.97 PAYE, paid weekly. Applicants must possess solid trade skills and a basic DBS check, or be willing to obtain one.

- Location: Gillingham, Kent
- Pay Rate: £16.97 per hour PAYE (paid weekly)
- Contract: Temporary Assignment (01 September 2026 - 31 October 2026)

- Basic DBS check required, or willingness to undertake one
The Role
As a Painter & Decorator, you will be responsible for carrying out a range of decorating and maintenance tasks across facilities, ensuring work is completed to a high standard.
Painter & Decorator Key Responsibilities
- Interior and exterior painting and decorating
- Surface preparation including sanding, filling, and cleaning
- Applying paint, gloss, varnish, and specialist finishes
- Touch-up, repair, and maintenance work
- Ensuring all work areas are left clean and tidy
- Adhering to health and safety procedures at all times
- Delivering excellent customer service and workmanship
