Painter – Military Accommodation Maintenance

Role Location & Details
- Contract: Full-Time, Permanent
- Location: RAF Lakenheath, Suffolk
- Working Hours: 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday
About the Role
If you're a skilled painter who takes pride in delivering exceptional finishes while working efficiently to meet deadlines, and you're looking for a rewarding role where your work has a visible impact, VIVO has an exciting opportunity for you to join our team supporting military accommodation across:
- RAF Lakenheath
- RAF Mildenhall
- RAF Feltwell
As a Painter, you will play a key role in maintaining and improving military accommodation, including:
- Single Living Accommodation (SLA) dormitories
- Military Family Housing (MFH)
Your primary focus may focus on family housing, but you may also be required to work on dormitory accommodation as operational requirements dictate.

Key Responsibilities:
- Work across a portfolio of empty properties (occupants have already moved out).
- Transform homes and accommodation to a high standard, preparing them for their next residents.
- Plan and manage workloads by being allocated weeks’ worth of properties at a time, ensuring independent productivity and high-quality output.
- Internal and external painting and decorating works, including surface preparation, minor defect repairs, removal of old paint, and applying high-quality finishes that meet client and company standards.
- Work to demanding turnaround times without compromising workmanship quality.
- Attend inspections and complete snagging works as required.
- Ensure work areas are clean, safe, and ready for occupation.
- Occasionally work from access equipment while following all relevant health and safety procedures.
- Demonstrate professionalism, strong communication skills, and a commitment to delivering excellent service as a client-facing team member.
Requirements
We’re looking for a skilled and passionate candidate with:
- Painting and decorating experience.
- A keen eye for detail.
- The ability to manage workloads effectively.
- The motivation to work to high standards and tight deadlines.
- Strong communication skills.
Essential Qualifications:
- A full UK driver’s license.
- The ability to pass SC Clearance.
