About the Role

We are looking for an experienced Senior Stargate Developer with strong data engineering and backend expertise to join our engineering team.

The ideal candidate is a hands-on developer with deep experience building and maintaining robust data solutions in Stargate, with a particular focus on backend development, data pipelines, transformations, data modeling, and system integrations.

Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and maintain scalable Stargate data and backend solutions.
  • Build robust data pipelines, transformations, and data processing workflows.
  • Develop and maintain data models supporting downstream applications, analytics, and business processes.
  • Integrate Stargate solutions with upstream and downstream systems, APIs, databases, and other enterprise platforms.
  • Implement backend business logic and reusable engineering components.
  • Optimize data processing for performance, scalability, reliability, and maintainability.
  • Investigate and resolve complex data quality, pipeline, integration, and production issues.
  • Work closely with front-end developers, architects, data engineers, and business stakeholders.
  • Contribute to technical architecture and solution design decisions.
  • Apply software engineering best practices around testing, version control, CI/CD, monitoring, documentation, and code quality.
  • Provide technical guidance and mentoring to other developers where required.

Required Skills

  • Several years of professional experience in software engineering, data engineering, or backend development.
  • Strong hands-on Stargate development experience.
  • Demonstrable experience building complex data pipelines and data transformation workflows.
  • Strong understanding of data modeling, data processing, and backend application architecture.
  • Experience working with SQL and large or complex datasets.
  • Good understanding of APIs and enterprise system integrations.
  • Strong software engineering skills and experience developing production-grade solutions.
  • Experience troubleshooting and optimizing data pipelines and backend services.
  • Ability to independently take ownership of technical solutions from design through implementation and production support.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Comfortable collaborating across distributed and international teams.
  • Professional working proficiency in English.
