The Band 6 Specialist Palliative Care Clinical Nurse Specialist
The Band 6 Specialist Palliative Care Clinical Nurse Specialist works as an autonomous practitioner with a caseload of complex patients within a team structure. This is predominantly a community post, covering Basingstoke and surrounding areas, and the acute hospital week-end rota.
There is access to clinical expertise and oversight to enable the optimal care of our patients 7 days a week. The delivery of a high-quality, effective, and compassionate care is essential to our organisation.
The palliative care service operates over 7 days.

- Someone who is enthusiastic about working with patients and their families with complex palliative care needs in the community
- Someone who is able to provide symptom management and psychological and social support to patients and their families
