Job Title: Panel Beater

Location: Yeovil, BA22

Salary: Up to £19.00 per hour + opportunity to earn up to £1,050 monthly bonus - Up to £41,900 + Bonus - OTE Up to £54,590

Schedule: Monday to Friday, 8.00am-5.00pm - 42.5 hours per week - No Weekends

Position: Full-Time, Permanent


About the Role

Join our client's highly efficient and professional body shop team with 20 years of unparalleled passion for vehicle body repair. With over 600 qualified and passionate employees, our client is a multi-award-winning company boasting 32 body shops nationwide. They are now looking for a Panel Beater for their Accident Repair Bodyshop in Yeovil.

Main Purpose of the Role:

The primary objective of this role is to repair or replace damaged bodywork panels of vehicles in accordance with received instructions or job card details. This may involve working on the chassis and framework as well.

Main Tasks:

  • Dismantle and repair damaged vehicles by either repairing the damaged panels or replacing those that are beyond repair.
  • Operate all necessary equipment, including jigs, fixtures, and welding tools, following instructions, considering qualification levels, and adhering to prescribed safety standards.
  • Follow the manufacturer's literature and modification bulletins when applicable to ensure proper repair and replacement of chassis and panel work.
  • Attend relevant training courses as necessary to stay updated on new techniques and advancements in the field.
  • Handle all vehicles with utmost care and attention, ensuring that customer satisfaction and care are always maintained.
  • Keep the company's tools and equipment in a safe, clean, and functional condition.

Requirements:

  • To be ATA preferred or NVQ3 qualified.
  • At least 3 years Panel Beating experience in an accident repair bodyshop.
  • ATA or NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent) qualified if at all possible.
  • Can consider Time Served Panel Beaters.
