Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site Panel Beater role located in Wickford. The Panel Beater will repair and restore vehicle bodywork, including straightening panels, correcting structural damage, and preparing surfaces for painting. Day-to-day tasks include:

- Assessing damage
- Removing and refitting body panels and trim
- Using appropriate tools and equipment for repairs

The role involves collaborating closely with painters and other technicians, maintaining a clean and safe workspace, and following workshop procedures and insurance repair guidelines. The Panel Beater may also support quality checks and provide input on repair methods and timelines.
Qualifications
- Candidates should possess strong Maintenance & Repair and Vehicle Maintenance skills relevant to bodywork and accident repair.
- Candidates should possess solid Troubleshooting skills to accurately diagnose damage and plan effective repair methods.
- Candidates should possess experience working with Heavy Equipment and workshop tools used in panel beating and body repair.
- Candidates should possess Supervisory Skills or team coordination abilities, particularly when overseeing repair stages or supporting junior staff.
- Relevant qualifications such as an automotive body repair apprenticeship, NVQ or equivalent in Vehicle Body Repair, or similar certification are beneficial.
- Strong attention to detail, ability to interpret repair estimates, and commitment to health and safety standards are required.
- Previous experience in a vehicle bodyshop or accident repair center and familiarity with insurance-approved repair processes are advantageous.
