Panel Beater / Painter Overview
To carry out high-quality vehicle body repair and paintwork to damaged vehicles in accordance with company standards, manufacturer guidelines, health and safety requirements and agreed repair methods. The role is responsible for restoring vehicles to a safe, roadworthy and high-quality condition, ensuring repairs are completed efficiently and to the required standard while maintaining a clean, safe and professional working environment.
The role will involve working as part of the vehicle preparation and repair team, assessing damage, carrying out panel beating and body repairs, preparing vehicles for paint and completing spraying and finishing work where required.

Key Responsibilities
- Carry out high-quality panel beating, dent removal and vehicle body repairs.
- Remove and replace damaged panels, trims, fittings and other vehicle components as required.
- Carry out welding, bonding and other appropriate repair techniques in line with manufacturer and company standards.
- Prepare vehicle surfaces for painting, including sanding, filling, masking and priming.
- Mix and apply paint and coatings to achieve a high-quality finish and colour match.
- Carry out paint spraying and finishing work using appropriate equipment and techniques.
- Polish, blend and finish repaired areas to achieve the required standard.
- Follow repair estimates, work instructions and agreed repair methods.
- Complete all work in accordance with health and safety, environmental and COSHH requirements
- Checking on completion of tasks
- Keep your area, tools and equipment clean, organised and safe
- Carry out routine checks and basic maintenance of workshop equipment and report any defects.
- Minimise waste and use materials, paint and consumables efficiently
- Meet required deadlines
- Undertake any other reasonable duties required to support the operation of the business

Skills & Experience Required
- Previous experience working in a similar role
- Experience using paint mixing systems and professional spray-painting equipment
- Experience working with a range of vehicle makes and models
Knowledge
- Spray Painting Technology
- Good knowledge of vehicle body repair and paint preparation techniques
Qualifications / Education
- Basic Maths & English
- Relevant Automotive body repair or paint qualification
Personal Qualities
- Excellent attention to detail and pride in delivering quality workmanship
- Strong team player
- Good communication skills
- Good organizational skills and the ability to manage workload and priorities effectively
- Willingness to learn and develop skills in line with new vehicle repair techniques and equipment
