Panel Technician – Inverness

About the Role
Joining us as a Panel Technician within our busy workshop in Inverness involves:
- Conducting vehicle repairs to approved standards
- Ensuring excellent customer service in every interaction
- Performing welding jobs, filler work, panel removal/refitting using correct repair methods
- Operating with technical precision and professional diligence
Key Attributes & Skills
- Experienced Panel Technician with relevant qualifications (City & Guilds or NVQ)
- Proven expertise in repairing all vehicle makes
- Able to interpret technical manuals, repair estimates, and work within guidelines for ‘right first-time’ completion
- Strong team player committed to delivering excellent customer service
- Honest and diligent approach to work
- Problem-solving and organisational skills with attention to detail
- Must hold a full, valid UK driving licence

Key Responsibilities
- Carry out repairs in accordance with best practice procedures
- Accurately interpret and implement technical instructions
- Ensure body alignment equipment usage for all body repairs
- Clarify tasks with Bodyshop Manager or Administrator if unbalanced work orders arise
- Complete assigned jobs within estimated repair times
- Protect customers’ vehicles and belongings during repairs
- Ensure returned vehicles meet safety standards
- Report structural defects on vehicles as necessary
- Declare any unexpected faults detected during work
- Accurately document all materials, consumables, and labour hours for each repair, while minimizing waste
- Maintain a clean, safe, and hazard-free workshop
- Adhere to health, safety, and environmental standards plus internal procedures
- Conduct preventative maintenance on tools and equipment
- Perform additional duties as directed by the Bodyshop Manager
- Uphold retail and wholesale standards to boost professional reputation
