Are you an experienced Panel Wireman looking to join a well-established power solutions specialist with over 30 years’ experience delivering generator and control solutions across London?
We’re working with a respected business that designs, builds and maintains generator and control systems for some of the most iconic buildings in London. Due to continued growth, they’re looking for an experienced Panel Wireman to join their team and play a key role in building, wiring and testing bespoke control panels.
The Role
As a Panel Wireman, you will be responsible for building, wiring and testing bespoke control panels to electrical drawings and schematics. You’ll work closely with the Controls Lead and wider team to ensure all projects are delivered to the highest standard, on time and to specification.

Key Responsibilities Include
- Lay out and wire control systems to wiring diagrams and drawings
- Metal work including cutting and drilling enclosures
- Read and interpret electrical circuit diagrams and schematics
- Wire and build control panels (soldering not required)
- Basic electrical knowledge including 3-phase systems
- Carry out circuit testing and fault finding
- Complete test documentation and records
- Live testing of control panels (not essential)
- Knowledge of Generators/PLC (not essential)
- Use of power tools – mainly drill and jigsaws
- Counting and managing stock (monthly & yearly stock takes)
- Work independently and as part of a team, including mentoring apprentices
- Self-driven with a willingness to learn
- Own hand tools

About You
To be successful in this position, you will have:
- 5 years’ experience building and wiring control panels
- Proven experience reading electrical drawings and wiring diagrams
- Experience working with control systems and 3-phase electrical circuits
- Strong fault-finding and testing skills
- Good attention to detail and a methodical, safety-first approach
- Ability to work independently and manage your workload
- Basic knowledge of PLCs or generators (desirable but not essential)
- Excellent communicator and team player
- Full UK driving licence
