Paralegal – Privacy, Compliance & Anti-Trust, EMEAO

Monster Energy
Uxbridge, London

The Advocate Group is proud to be partnering with Monster Energy to recruit a Compliance Paralegal into its Legal, Regulatory & Compliance team.

Sitting within the same international legal function, this position has a distinctly different focus: privacy, data protection, anti-trust and wider corporate compliance.

You’ll support Monster Energy across Europe, the Middle East, Africa and Oceania (EMEAO), working closely with Regulatory and Privacy Counsel to help deliver a robust compliance programme across a complex, fast-moving international FMCG business.

For an ambitious paralegal looking to build specialist expertise in data privacy and compliance, while gaining exposure to a globally recognised consumer brand, this represents an excellent platform for development.

The Role

This is a broad, hands-on compliance position where you’ll be exposed to both the day-to-day delivery of Monster’s compliance programme and more complex privacy and anti-trust matters. Rather than sitting solely within document review or administrative legal support, you’ll work closely with Counsel and stakeholders across the business, helping Monster navigate evolving compliance requirements across multiple international markets.

Your Responsibilities Will Include:

  • Supporting the delivery of Monster Energy’s compliance programme across EMEAO, with exposure to the wider global business where required.
  • Assisting with Data Subject Rights Requests, Data Protection Impact Assessments (DPIAs), Legitimate Interests Assessments (LIAs) and Transfer Impact Assessments (TIAs).
  • Reviewing data processing and data-sharing practices and supporting vendor due diligence.
  • Drafting and maintaining privacy notices, policies, governance documentation and compliance templates.
  • Supporting Counsel with anti-trust reviews relating to new commercial and business initiatives.
  • Drafting and negotiating Data Processing Agreements (DPAs) and privacy provisions within commercial contracts.
  • Coordinating and tracking internal compliance training.
  • Conducting legal and regulatory research and translating findings into clear, practical information for the wider business.
  • Monitoring legislative developments across EMEAO and helping ensure policies, procedures and guidance remain current.
  • Maintaining compliance trackers, including Records of Processing Activities (ROPAs) and incident logs.
  • Preparing legal documents, briefing notes, internal communications and regulatory updates.
  • Working with stakeholders throughout Monster Energy to gather information and support the Legal, Regulatory & Compliance team's advice.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

What We’re Looking For

This role could suit someone already gaining exposure to privacy, data protection or corporate compliance, but Monster is equally interested in individuals with strong legal foundations and a clear motivation to develop within this specialism.

You’ll ideally bring:

  • A law degree, recognised paralegal qualification or equivalent legal qualification.
  • Previous experience as a Paralegal or within a relevant legal environment.
  • Exposure to data protection, privacy, compliance and/or anti-trust would be advantageous.
  • Strong legal research skills and the ability to interpret and communicate complex information clearly.
  • Excellent attention to detail and organisation.
  • The ability to manage multiple workstreams and deadlines simultaneously.
  • Confidence working with both legal and non-legal stakeholders.
  • A proactive approach and willingness to take ownership while continuing to learn.
  • Strong written and verbal English; additional European languages would be advantageous.
  • Exposure to an international or multi-jurisdictional organisation would be beneficial.

Privacy or data protection qualifications such as CIPP/E, CIPM, BCS Data Protection or GDPR Practitioner certification would be advantageous, but importantly, they aren't essential.

You'll gain practical exposure to privacy, GDPR, anti-trust and corporate compliance, working alongside experienced Counsel and interacting with stakeholders throughout the organisation.

For someone looking to establish themselves as a privacy and compliance specialist, the combination of international exposure, hands-on responsibility and the opportunity to develop within a growing global FMCG brand makes this a particularly compelling next step.

If you're currently working as a Paralegal, Legal Assistant, Privacy Paralegal, Data Protection Paralegal or within an early-career compliance position and want to develop your career within one of the world's most recognisable FMCG brands, we'd love to hear from you.
