Leeds Office | Salary Up To £26,228pa + Benefits

Our client, a top UK law firm with five offices across the UK, is actively recruiting for a Paralegal to join them on a permanent basis in their Leeds office – working in their Construction department.

You’ll be part of a large and experienced Construction, Engineering & Procurement team – consisting of 40+ Fee-Earners. The firm is looking for someone with an interest (or experience) in Construction law, who is prepared to work hard and be an integral part of the wider team.

As the successful Paralegal, you’ll be responsible for (but not limited to) the following:

  • Assisting in case management on a Fee-Earning bases
  • Diaries key dates and chasing when necessary
  • Providing clients with progress reports
  • Assisting with drafting advice to clients
  • Assisting in drafting submissions for arbitration proceedings
  • Keeping up to date with relevant announcements (from the Ministry of Housing, Communities and Local Government)
  • Liaising with the Court as necessary
  • Assisting clients with investigations being carried out
  • Conducting legal research

To be considered for this new Paralegal opportunity, you’ll need to have/be:

  • Have a completed law degree (LLB/GDL)
  • Ideally, have your LPC or SQE1 (not essential)
  • Ideally, have experience as a Paralegal (within Litigation and/or Construction)
  • Be able to attend the Leeds office FOUR days per week (Monday-Thursday)

Whilst Training Contracts internally are never guaranteed, previous employees have used the experience gained in this role to secure Training Contracts and Pupillages both internally and elsewhere.
