About the Role:

We are hiring for a Paralegal to join us on a 12-month fixed-term contract, to be seconded to a key client of Gowling WLG.

Within this role you will be assisting with a variety of legal matters and projects across a wide range of business functions and subject matters appropriate to the level of capability and experience. Performs work under supervision of legal counsel. The position carries a wide range of in-house legal responsibilities, including the review and progress of commercial contracts, project work, research tasks, and assisting the company secretariat team with corporate restructurings and similar actions.

The position will be based in Holborn, London, U.K., with at least 3 days per week working from the office. Standard hours of work are 9:00 am – 5:00 pm.

About You:

Skills and Competencies

  • Experience of working in a legal environment with some background in corporate or commercial law or similar project work.
  • Comfortable supporting on a wide variety of legal and compliance matters impacting business and operations.
  • Ability to think critically and make clear and well-reasoned decisions.
  • Capable of handling multiple tasks and activities across a variety of situations in a busy global environment.
  • Strong personal and professional integrity and business ethics, as well as a commitment to diversity and a respect for others.
  • Enthusiasm for working for a global company and everything that it entails.
  • Communicates effectively - developing and delivering communications that convey a clear understanding of the unique needs of different audiences.
