Paralegal

As the business moves forward there is a growing need for legal support and an opportunity has arisen for a Paralegal to join the team of four lawyers. This is an opportunity to be part of a small but strong legal team at the very heart of the business where you will gain hands-on legal experience in construction law, contract law and disputes. This role will be based in our T3, Birmingham office where you’ll work within our Legal Team, flexibility to travel across sites will be required as part of your development. There will be a mix of on-site and remote working required as part of the role.

What You’ll Be Doing

Reporting to one of our Senior Legal Counsels you will:

  • Assist in reviewing contractual terms and conditions for a range of contracts, both bespoke and construction industry standard forms;
  • Support on contract negotiation and drafting amendments to contracts under supervision;
  • Assist in updating precedent contract forms;
  • Prepare guidance notes and legal newsletters for the business;
  • Conduct legal research and prepare summaries and draft documentation;

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
