About the Role
C&C Search is currently recruiting a highly commercial and operationally focused Paralegal to join a fast-scaling private-markets fund manager in London. This is an outstanding opportunity for a Paralegal with private equity, investment funds, asset management or wider private-markets experience to join the business at a pivotal point in its development. Having successfully launched its first fund, the firm is now preparing for the launch of a significantly larger second fund, targeting approximately £150 million to £250 million.

About the Company
This is a lean, ambitious and entrepreneurial investment business where individuals are trusted to take responsibility and make a meaningful contribution. The culture will suit a proactive Paralegal who enjoys working closely with senior stakeholders, driving projects forward independently and contributing beyond a narrowly defined legal remit. The successful person will have the opportunity to shape the position as the business grows, gaining exposure to fund launches, private equity operations and the wider development of an investment-management platform.

Key Responsibilities
- Supporting the legal and operational requirements associated with the launch and development of the firm’s second investment fund
- Assisting with investment-fund documentation, corporate matters, transactions and wider private-equity activities
- Coordinating documentation, approvals, records, reporting requirements and key project deadlines
- Working closely with senior stakeholders on legal, commercial and operational priorities
- Supporting the management of external legal counsel and other professional advisers
- Maintaining organised and accurate legal, corporate and fund-management records
- Identifying priorities, taking ownership of tasks and driving work forward independently
- Contributing to the development of efficient legal and operational processes as the firm scales
- Providing broader business and project support where required within a collaborative, entrepreneurial environment
What We Are Looking For
- Previous experience as a Paralegal within private equity, private markets, investment funds, fund management, venture capital or asset management
- Applications may also be considered from qualified lawyers who are seeking a broader commercial and operational position
- Relevant experience gained within a law firm, investment business or in-house legal team
- A strong understanding of the pace, standards and commercial priorities of a private-markets environment
- Excellent organisational skills, accuracy and attention to detail
- A proactive, adaptable and solutions-focused approach
- Confidence taking responsibility and progressing work with limited supervision
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- The ability to build trusted working relationships with senior stakeholders and external advisers
- An interest in combining legal, fund-management and operational responsibilities
- A genuine desire to make a visible contribution within a lean and growing business
